We built a search portal for KIT, Koninklijk Instituut voor de Tropen, the Royal Tropical Institute of the Netherlands, to search its web site and a variety of other data. This search also includes a geospatial component using Google Maps. This component was added 10/2011-2/2012.

We built a portal to offer search of the NBII's massive database on flora and fauna, crawling several web sites within and outside of NBII. 

Additional work March 2010 - April 2010 added one of my favorite features I implemented: an advanced query builder that was entirely client-side. Users could enter terms in a variety of fields and their query would be translated to standard boolean logic queries.
