As a UXiD Surabaya organizer, I with the other volunteer help to organize UX Events in Surabaya.

Indonesia currently has ~100 million internet users and 80 million smartphone users. In 2020, the growth of e-commerce transaction in Indonesia are predicted to reach USD 130 billion. All those great numbers will mean nothing unless we do something. KIBAR, a tech-startup ecosystem builder, supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, initiated Gerakan Nasional 1000 Startup Digital with a mission to create 1,000 high-quality startups by 2020 with a total valuation USD 10B. As part of the government's vision to build Indonesia as 'The Digital Energy of Asia’, this movement aims to nurture digital startups that are able to provide solutions to huge problems through mentoring and capacity building. Starting in 10 big cities in Indonesia: Jakarta, Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Malang, Semarang, Medan, Denpasar, Makassar, and Pontianak, the excitements are coming from different stakeholders in the ecosystem.
